Sariyah Idan is jazz trained, hip-hop educated and influenced by the sounds of her Jewish roots. She is an internationally touring singer-songwriter and writer/actor of the acclaimed solo theater show Homeless in Homeland based on a trip she took to Israel and the occupied West Bank. Her song on Radical Amazement titled "Why You Do" is off her debut EP Deeper Than Skin which will be officially released on Dec 9th 2014 with a show at Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles. She has shared stages with Pete Seeger and Lee "Scratch" Perry and is featured on Dubblestandard's album Woman In Dub along with Marcia Griffiths and Caron Wheeler. Grateful for her teachers and diverse community of visionary artists and activists --including Bay Area group La Gente and Brooklyn based artist spiritchild among many others-- she is eager to keep
